About

About Oxigen VPN

The people behind Oxigen VPN, how each article about online privacy and internet security is put together, and what we will not publish.

The short version

What you are looking at is a working blog. Old pieces stay up in the archive rather than quietly disappearing, including the ones that have aged badly.

Oxigen VPN began because the straight answers about online privacy and internet security were scattered across forum threads, comment sections, and messages nobody archived. We decided to write them down properly instead.

What we do not do

What we do not do is predict outcomes. Nothing about online privacy and internet security works that way, and pages that pretend otherwise are selling something.

The topics

  • VPN Basics. What a VPN is, what it does, and what it does not, in plain terms.
  • Online Privacy. Practical habits for keeping your data and activity more private.
  • Security. Everyday internet security: passwords, accounts, and staying safe.
  • Streaming and Access. What VPNs can and cannot do for streaming and accessing content.
  • Devices. Keeping phones, laptops, and home devices secure and private.
  • Guides. Step-by-step, jargon-free guides to online privacy and security.
  • Games. Video games and gaming, from what we play to how games connect to the rest of life.

Articles are filed under one topic each, so an archive page reads as a list rather than a pile. Most of the traffic here lands on vpn basics, online privacy and security.

Who writes here

Every article carries the name of the person who wrote it, and every name links to a page listing everything else they have written.

Nadir Holloway, Privacy basics. Nadir explains online privacy and VPNs for ordinary people, cutting through the marketing to what actually matters.

Petra Vance, Device security. Petra writes about keeping everyday devices secure, from passwords and updates to the settings most people never touch.

Sami Okonkwo, Access and streaming. Sami covers what VPNs realistically do for streaming, access, and staying private online, with honest expectations.

How this is put together

We write from notes taken while doing the thing, not from a summary of other summaries. Where we are unsure, the page says so in plain words.

We keep the commercial side visible. Some outbound links earn us money, and that never buys a change to the text around them.

If you want the mechanics rather than the summary, the editorial policy has them, including what we refuse to publish.

Why this name

People ask about the name. There is rarely a good story behind a domain, and there is not one here either. Oxigen VPN was available, it was short enough to say out loud, and it has been the name long enough now that changing it would be more confusing than keeping it.

Corrections

Point at the sentence. Write to info@oxigenvpn.site or use the contact page. Factual errors are fixed quickly, and when a correction changes the conclusion of a piece we say so at the foot of the page rather than editing quietly.
